Action 1 - Activate your vehicle for telemetry via Mercedes Me
To establish communication with your vehicle and access telemetry data, you must add and activate your vehicle in Mercedes Me. Here's how to do it:
Visit Mercedes Me Portal: Start by visiting the
Activation Instructions: Refer to the "Frequently Asked Questions for Mercedes me connect" section on the portal for detailed instructions on how to complete the activation process.
Action 2 - Subscribe to Mercedes connect services for locating the vehicle
To locate the car, an active subscription for the "Vehicle Tracker" or another location-enabling service is required. The "Vehicle Tracker" is usually found in the "Remote" or "Navigation" package depending on your model, and can be activated in the Mercedes me app or Mercedes me portal.
Action 3 - Subscribe to Mercedes connect services to control charging
For sending start/stop charging commands, an active subscription for the "Programming of charging settings and Pre-Entry Climate Control" is required. This service is usually found in one of the "Navigation" packages and can be activated in the Mercedes me app or Mercedes me portal.
Action 4 - Re-link your Mercedes account to re-enable communication
To restore communication to your device, you need to link your Mercedes account again.
Action 5 - Accept the Mercedes terms and conditions for communication with your device
To access your device's telemetry data, accept Mercedes's terms and conditions through the Mercedes app:
Open Mercedes App: Start by launching the Mercedes app on your mobile device
Sign In: Sign in to your Mercedes account if you haven't already
Accept Terms and Conditions: Within the app, locate and follow the instructions to accept Mercedes's terms and conditions
