If the Toyota isn't displaying data correctly e.g. charge status it’s likely that one or more required actions haven’t been completed.

Action 3 may require a paid subscription

Toyota Connected Services is a paid subscription service. This service is typically included for free with compatible vehicles (for 10 years). For vehicles with Smart Connect, the services are included for 4 years. After the initial free period, some services may require a subscription fee.


To restore communication to your device, you need to link your Toyota account again.


Action 2 - Accept the Toyota terms and conditions for communication with your device

To access your device's telemetry data, accept Toyota's terms and conditions through the Toyota app:

  1. Open Toyota App:

    Start by launching the Toyota app on your mobile device

  2. Sign In:

    Sign in to your Toyota account if you haven't already

  3. Accept Terms and Conditions: Within the app, locate and follow the instructions to accept Toyota's terms and conditions


Action 3 - Subscribe to Toyota Connected Services for vehicle communication

To communicate with the vehicle, a subscription to the Toyota Standard Services is required, as well as the Toyota Remote Services, in order to control charging. You can subscribe to these services directly from the MyToyota app or contact your dealership for more information.
