Compatibility of Octopus Intelligent Go

If someone is on the Intelligent Octopus Go tariff from Octopus Energy, they can still link their EV in the app to view their charging history and track energy usage.

However, we don’t recommend enabling Smart Charging in our app while they are on this tariff.

Why not use Smart Charging?

Intelligent Octopus Go already controls your EV charging schedule overnight to take advantage of cheaper rates. If someone also turns on Smart Charging in our app, the two systems may conflict, causing unreliable charging behaviour or reduced savings.

If someone wants to try our Smart Charging, they will need to switch to a different tariff where charging isn't already being controlled by Octopus.
