Monitoring battery and inverter temperature

Our optimisation model is designed to ensure safe and efficient operation of both batteries and inverters. While inverters naturally generate heat during operation, we actively monitor system performance to ensure that all batteries and inverters (whether optimising or not) are working within a safe operating range.

Battery temperatures

Battery temperatures fluctuate within expected ranges, independent of whether they are being optimised.

Inverter temperatures

It is normal for inverters to reach higher temperatures during sustained charging and discharging cycles. Inverters will always produce heat when they run, even for batteries that aren't optimising. If a customer has been observing worryingly high inverter temperatures, please refer to the manufacturer to check for their recommended maximum.

Performance impact

If customers are concerned about high inverter temperatures, we recommend ensuring proper ventilation and following manufacturer guidelines for safe operation. Some manufacturers, such as GivEnergy differ from what they say versus their manuals, so it's always good to check with their team.

We continuously monitor system performance to ensure everything runs within safe and efficient parameters.
