What to expect in the first days and weeks of optimisation
When a consumer enables optimisation, the system immediately begins making decisions and learning from real-time behaviour.
What to look for in the early days
In the first few days, you may see optimisation doing things like:
Charging during cheaper rate windows (typically overnight or early morning)
Discharging during peak periods when export or grid rates are highest
Partially charging to leave space for expected solar generation
This behaviour is expected and reflects the optimiser beginning to build an efficient daily strategy.
When savings will appear in the app
Savings from optimisation don’t appear instantly. They’re calculated after enough data has been collected to generate a reliable comparison between optimised and baseline (non-optimised) behaviour.
Consumers will typically see their first savings appear in the app within two weeks of starting optimisation.
If a consumer asks why they haven’t seen savings yet, reassure them that savings will show once enough data has been gathered If savings haven’t appeared after two full weeks and battery activity looks low or incorrect, it may be worth investigating further.
